I had a globe and a table that needed some creativity. They were both picked up at garage sales.
Before |
This is not the exact globe but another one that I have. |
I was going to make a hanging light out of the globe half, but then realized that I had an old lamp base that would work perfect for the globe as the shade. It's sweet when that happens.
The framed wall map is an old Brown County map from 1871 given to us by Hubby's grandmother. It was rolled up and water damaged, not to mention, very delicate and falling apart off the backing fabric so I was forced to frame this to preserve it and we love the history since Hubby grew up in this county.
These will be sold in my antique mall booth since I don't have room or need for them. I imagine these in a boys bedroom done in maps and travel. I can dream...

LOVE them both, Terry! I've got a globe I've been meaning to turn into a lamp too, if I ever find the time. I don't really have a place for it either, so it hasn't been a priority.
ReplyDeleteI'll bet your table and lamp sell quickly!
Blessings,
Angie
