Tulips for Mom!

It all started with these little rascals.

I've shown you these kids before. They are the children of a custom home builder, that I do accounts receivable for and am good friends with their Mom. I love these kids and have been around since before each were born. My heart is attached to them.

I spent the summer (after the bookkeeping) doing craft and science experiments with the two oldest. They are accustomed to me bringing a new 'project' to work on.
This one was to be 'Tulip Handprints' of each child. I have done this before with my own daughter who is now 24. What I noticed on Pinterest is the leaves are wrong in my eyes if this it truly representing a tulip. Tulip leaves are long and not round as shown on Pinterest handprint art.

So by painting the pinky finger side of the hand, it makes for perfect leaves and stem.
I added Love Grows Here with colored pencils and framed it to present to Mom! She loved it and I know as the years pass and the kids grow, she will continue to cherish even more as I do the one of my daughters handprints.

  2. These are the most adorable little rascals I have ever seen. Love the project too. It is nice that you can still do these projects with borrowed "rascals". You will have fun being a Grandma some day.
