Garden Art Totem

I have been collecting glass pieces for making a Garden Art Totem from garage sales and thrift stores, plus some at antique stores. And I finally got just the right pieces and am overjoyed with the outcome. It came out much taller than I had imagined but with the sky as my ceiling, it doesn't look overly tall. First, I put it out by my cupola...See it yet?

I used epoxy to glue this together. It worked great.

Night shot with a solar light shining on it.
But after all that, I decided that too much was going on in this area. I moved it to another area of the yard that was calmer...Now I can sit back and enjoy it's beauty.

Easy and fun to do...just collect, glue and place...can't get much easier than that!

FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT ASKED ABOUT THE WIND, WE HAD A 70 MILE AN HOUR WIND STORM THAT HIT AND TOOK OUT TONS OF TREES IN OUR TOWN, BUT OUR GLASS GARDEN ART TOTEM DIDN'T MOVE ONE INCH.

  1. I really like it...are you worried about the wind knocking it over at all? We get some mighty strong winds.

  25. Love your Totem!! I did a post on totems when I first started blogging- bought all kinds of dishes to make them and still haven't made a one!!

I did have the same question as Ceekay about the wind being a problem. We have lots of wind where I live!

    Your gardens are so beautiful!

  26. I love your totem! What a beautiful creative idea and it's such a nice addition to your garden. My first thought was the same as Ceekay's. What about the wind knocking it over? You wouldn't want that to happen after all your hard work. I would also like to know what type of glue you used to hold the pieces together.

  27. A very creative totem for your backyard. Hope they are glued together well.
