very lush and spacious. It was so exciting for me, to not only be great friends with the builder's sweet wife, but to be involved with choices and the process of the building.
Do you want to see a BeautiFul Kitchen? This home is now complete but The Advocacy Network for Children asked to have designers and furniture stores come in and decorate the house BEFORE they moved in and have a weekend-long house tour to raise funds. The builder and his wife agreed to this and what you will see is a staged home...NOT THEIR FURNISHINGS OR DECOR. It may not be your style and I know it was not all their style either, but a fund raising event. So I thought I would take the opportunity and snap pictures to show you this lovely home. You will see price tags and some things out of place, because I was there while it was being staged.
Knowing this, please focus on the finishes and design. I will be featuring each room over the next several blogs because this home is HUGE and I just can't give you a quality tour without separating the rooms.
Let's start the tour with the kitchen.
The kitchen is large with glazed white cabinets mixed with dark stained cabinets. In the above picture you will see the view looking from the side of the living room into the kitchen. On the left of the picture is the bar area, doorway to the powder room and mud room and the pantry area. Then it wraps around to the doorway to the foyer hall, on to the stove area. There is an island in the dark stain and the 'L' shaped bar that houses the sink. It has beautiful granite counter-tops and hardwood floors throughout most of the main floor.
A view from the kitchen into the breakfast nook area. I will show you that room on another post. |
This view from the kitchen shows the breakfast nook, deck and partial living room. |
This view shows the living room in the distance. |
View of the hidden pantry and oven area. |
This is the hidden pantry room that is behind the cabinetry on the oven wall. I stenciled the walls and the chalkboards were a fun idea that even the little ones will get a great deal of use out of. They have a four year old and a two year old.
Be on the lookout for the next room...The Living Room.
Update: Here is the tiled backsplash now!
Jewelry for the room!!! |

Can you tell me where you purchased your hardware for your two tone kitchen cabinets? I'm trying to match them for my own cabinets.
