Week 20 ~ Diamonds In The Rough!

Diamonds In The Rough! is my weekly feature, where I show you the treasures that I find from garage sales, thrift stores and antique stores.

I have really gotten just a few unique items this week...Check it out!
I got 8 of these sweet cups...Yes, I am working on another teacup chandy! It's going to be so awesome and it will be for sale!

I couldn't resist an 'M' hankie since my last name is Moore, the cute round pink doily if for a little girls room that I am working on. And the runner would make really awesome envelope pillows.

All around pretty saucer.

DON'T look at the picture, DO look at the wonderful old oval frame and bubble glass. These are so hard to find and this is a large size too.

Yessirey, I got a shake weight for $1. My arms are already more firm. I'm telling you it works, but let's see how long I keep it up. I just thought it would be fun and why not at only a dollar.

A cute butterfly pin.

You won't believe this, a solid cherry dresser & mirror for only $20! It has the detailed sides called rope twist. It sure was banged up and carved on the top was a heart and Dora the...Whoever did that stopped there and didn't add the word Explorer.

It is a Willett brand. I had never heard of it. Research I found on it is, it's from the 30's and 40's. This is well made solid cherry (NO Veneers), but has seen it's better days.

The dresser came with a huge mirror. I have it almost transformed and you will be so surprised at how it looks now...I will post on it soon.

Yet another small table to transform.

Hubby brought this home from his old hometown. It's the backside of a mat that a free-standing fireplace would sit on. I thought that this stamp was cool.

This is the front of the fireplace mat. How ornate is that?  And it was free.

NOTE: You should be able to click on most of the pictures to enlarge to see further details.

  1. Lots of diamonds this week....not very rough!!! Great finds and a nice hubby.:)

I notice that you linked this post to a lot of different places. How do you do this without taking a TON of time??? I find it to be sooooo time consumming that I have actually stopped doing it very much. I am thinking you have some sort of streamline technique??

    thanks, Lesley
