It's all in the DETAILS!

I wrote a post about our new addition of a two car hobby garage that you can see HERE. However, I wanted to talk about the details that we almost missed...The brick!

The brick masons were here and bricked the new garage with the matching brick on the house. When they completed it, there was a bit of brick left-over and our contractor came by to see the progress. He noticed this...

See the white boards above the old garage? He suggested that we have the brick masons back and use the left-over brick to soldier it across the old garage doorways and the people door! Duh! I can't believe that I didn't think of it. Our contractor is so cute and so smartly detail-oriented!

Anyway, the brick masons came back for a few hours and finished up the missing detail and made it look so much nicer. See, it's all in the details!
But it didn't stop there! To add even more detail, I purchased two aluminum wall pergolas (on Amazon) to go above the new garage doors and had our young and cute, handy dandy handyman come over and put these up! I love this added feature since we have a pergola around back!
Soon, I will be sharing all the new landscaping that Hubby and I have been breaking our backs over since the new garage is complete! Stay close!

  1. That was a very nice addition. I'd say you found a "keeper" in that handyman-cutie pie! Most just want to get their money & run.
