Recently I showed you my new buffet that caused a domino effect in my home.
This is part of that domino effect. In what is this house's actual formal dining room, we have converted it into a study since we don't have a need for a formal dining room that would only get used a couple of times a year and just be looked at the rest.
This back alcove was 2 1/2 inches too small for the new buffet that I just finished,
so we moved that buffet into the place where this hutch was. You can see that post HERE.
I have it decorated for fall and Halloween. I know many folks are against the Ouija board that I have on display, but it gives me fond memories of playing this with my sisters as children and blaming each other for moving the hand piece! :)
Let's just take a spin around this room...
Two openings, one double opening from the foyer, the other a doorway width to the kitchen. |

Terry, the hutch looks great in your office...great storage and display space! I love the accessories that you used!
ReplyDeleteYou inspire me every day !
ReplyDeleteyour home is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLove your home! Love the furniture redos. I am all about renaming a space into something more useful!
ReplyDeleteIt looks lovely, as the rest of your home, Terry! I love the typography on ouija boards, so they just make cool display pieces to me.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful house and thanks for the tour! I love the buffet and yes, new things sometimes cause a domino effect on us..one thing leads to another, lol..Love your office with the hutch and decorations.
ReplyDeleteFABBY
Nicely decorated home...love your wall color combos.

ReplyDeleteYou really make it appear so easy along with your presentation however I to find this matter to be actually something which I feel I would by no means understand. It sort of feels too complex and very extensive for me. I am looking ahead on your next submit, I’ll try to get the hang of it!
Very pretty. We are actually doing the opposite. We need a dining room, so we are converting our living room to a dining room and knocking a hole in a bedroom wall next to the living room to make a sitting room/study. We are also "forever decorating!"
ReplyDeleteYour house is lovely!
Your home is beautiful, love the hutch and that gorgeous buffet.
ReplyDeleteLove the room...the hutch looks perfect in there...and you already know that I love the ceiling!!
ReplyDeleteThe hutch looks great in your study! Your home is so lovely!
ReplyDeleteYour house is amazing!
ReplyDeleteYour house looks so formal and grownup! I can admire the look, but I could never call it home! I lean more toward a funky. artsy look.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the checkers on the posts! awesome!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful, and so creative of you and hubs to make it work! Your home is formal looking and moving the hutch in helps soften the room, also adds some great charm. I am a buffet girl, and so appreciate how pretty your buffet is, just gorgeous and it just pops against the wall! Thanks for sharing your inspiration with Sunday’s Best – you helped make the party a success!
