Putz House & Tie Skirt

Since all the decorating is done,
I have been having a bit of fun.

I have always wanted to make a cute little paper house. In doing research on them, I found out the name of these sweet houses are putz houses.

I googled them and came across a pattern to use. I used this pattern...

I think it came out so cute and was a fun little glitter project.

Here is a great website with all the templates to make your very own putz house. http://www.bigindoortrains.com/primer/glitterhouses/small_glitterhouse/beginning_glitterhouse.htm
On to the next project...
I thought that my LampShade Tree needed a tree skirt.
So I went though hubby's old ties and made this skirt.

  1. Oh my! I had an entire village of tiny paper buildings when I was a little girl. I loved arranging and re-arranging them. I didn't know they had a name. Thank you for bringing back this childhood memory!

  2. Oh, what a great job you did on your little putz house! I saw some last year and just fell in love with them and this summer I started making them! If you'd like to see them I have this posted on my blog today! I've filled up my hutch with them.
Now your little tie tree skirt is so cute too.
    Be a sweetie,
