Winter Door Decor!

One of my favorite things to do as my decor constantly changes, is to get out some of my decor that just seems to touch my heart.

Most of the time I don't know why something speaks to me, but if it's really lasting through the years, I feel it must mean that it's these simple pleasures of finding, making and displaying just these certain things is part of what life at Forever Decorating! is all about.
This vintage shovel...It makes me smile. It's a rare find made sweeter because it was $1 and I met the most interesting older couple and have never forgotten them. I just placed it with a teardrop greenery topped with a bow made from webbing. Who knew that something so simple would be so lasting?
When I made this relatively simple wreath...scrap fabric roses, book page covered foam and sheet music roses and leaves, topped with a fun to make snowflake, did I know that just by adding the rhinestone broach, it would become something lasting?

Thoughts to ponder about maybe making a simpler 2013...

And the winner of my Valentine Giveaway is...

Judy of Gilmer, Tx

Thanks to all who entered...and have a lovely Valentine's Day!

  2. A snow shovel! I had to look close - they are not so common around here. Looks great on the door. I am glad it has a story behind it.
