Can you see it?
I bet not!
After the dust settled on our huge garage sale, we realized that we sold something that we use every day...
Our master bathroom clock!
And if you know me, I didn't want just a clock to replace the clock.
I wanted something different...
Something special.
I looked online and in every store that I could think of that carries clocks. I found that the ones that I was attracted to were way over-priced in my opinion. Then I came across this at Hobby Lobby...
I thought, why couldn't I make this into a clock. It's made of lath and even though I could have made this myself, with a 40% off coupon, why would I bother for the $17 that it cost? It also is framed out with the lath so it has an empty cavity in the back perfect for the clockworks.
I also purchased this clock works knowing that I would need to clip about an inch off the ends of the hands with my wire cutter since they were just a bit too big.
Out came my Silhouette and I cut out the numbers that I needed. If you don't have a Silhouette, you can buy a stencil, print out numbers and trace them, or even buy metal or wood numbers and glue/nail them on.
After painting the numbers and the circles that represent numbers, and drilling a hole in the center for the clockworks, I sprayed it with varnish because bathrooms are known for its white dust and I wanted to be able to clean this off easily.
Now for the reveal...
I am loving this new look! And it's very useful and reminds me daily to Be Grateful.
