A Bread Box and A Table

I will start with the bread box...

Below is how I purchased it at a garage sale...

Simple redo, just cleaning and a bit of Annie Sloan Old White Chalk Paint later.
Now on to the table. This was a kit from our local discount store that was still in its original box when I purchased it at a garage sale...they had never opened it and it was many years old.

I glued and screwed it together but also accented it with some lighter blue stripes just for fun.

I am not keeping either, but they were fun, easy projects.

  1. I LOVE what you did with the bread box. My mom has the exact same one so it looks like I'll be stealing it and redoing it very soon:) The table turned out beautifully too!

  5. Loved seeing your breadbox and table, Tracy. I was especially interested in the breadbox as I have one much like yours. Have never been sure about painting it. I don't use it anymore, just have it in my craft area waiting for a re-do (smile). TFS. I am a follower of your blog and enjoy return visits. I invite you to join me as well on my blog at http://atastefultouch.blogspot.com

  8. Found you thru Furniture Friday, haven't ever come across your blog before but glad I did. That's a pretty old bread box, don't see them unless passed on to somebody or at a thrift store/ yard sale. I had a metal one that I used to make a planter in KY. Now why did I do that, wish I still had it. What a difference the white paint made to the look of it. Still pretty useable. Love color on the table with the stripes, like that you put stripes different directions on top and shelf. I'd have a hard time selling both, but I'm like that.
