My Nell Hill's Purchases!

As promised,

I told you that after sharing

my awesome shopping experience

at Nell Hill's in Kansas City,

that I would show you

what we purchased.

Actually, Hubby saw these lanterns and of course, I encouraged him in adding it to our purchase pile...though only one. We purchased two sizes of these capitals too that I used in a different way. This photo courtesy of NellHillsblog.com
What did I do with the one we purchased? I hung in in the kitchen...just for fun!
Off subject for a moment, below is a photo that I took at Nell Hill's and loved the idea of books inside a lantern.
I replicated it as soon as I got home...albeit my books stacked neater for my Virgo self!
I just received an email from Nell Hill's announcing the upcoming open house of Mary Carol's Atchion, KS Home and this picture was attached...
This display is exactly what I saw when I fell in love with the, sweet and large, mercury glass candle stands. They came home with me and here is what I have done with them until I decorate for fall...
(The 1934 loving cup trophy (taller one) was found at an antique store on the way home. The shorter trophy was purchased yesterday at TJ Maxx)

Okay, now for the really cool purchases. They had different sizes of metal circles. Open them up from lying flat position and magically they become an orb. I noted that when they are not in use as decor, they will lay flat for storage, as well as bringing them home 4 hours in the car!

An ORB to use anyway you want, like what I did with mine...
This orb is made of  smaller rounded metal rings. Placed on an urn with a small capital then the bird statue inside plus greenery and flowers. The capital, though not seen, is to be able to place a statue on a flat surface.

Then I decided to take out the hydrangeas and change to sunflowers for late summer and Fall.

I couldn't just purchase one orb, so I purchased the largest one they carry as well. It is made of flat metal bands. I have to tell you this all was very affordable. The largest orb that you are about to see below was $32. I think that is very reasonable for the amount of awesomeness that you get!

I put this in an urn out front and placed a cement statue in the center. It has Sedum growing out of the urn. It is a real showstopper! Come Fall, I will put a large pumpkin in the center.

Here are a couple of Nell Hill's ORB decor that I pulled from their FB page.

Now I am ready to go back and shop some more!!!!   How about you?
