I have been busy working on a new home. This home is for a friend that is a builder's wife and her hubby and his crew have been working on building it. Eventually, I plan on sharing this huge and so beautiful home with you, but it is not yet fully finished. However, I will show you what I have been working on...
Here is a small part of the kitchen. The ovens will go in the space where the holes are, but see the cabinet to the left of that? It looks like just a regular cabinet, but I have a surprise...
It's really a walk-in pantry! And I have been stenciling the walls in this room for the past two days!
I had their finish carpenter to trim out the insides of both doors, this will become chalkboards for her. And her two small kids will enjoy drawing on them as well.
While I was painting with the stencil and needed to wait for things to dry, I would run upstairs to their little daughter's room and put a tree on the wall with vinyl. It is huge...mind you these ceiling are 9 feet!
Her builder Hubby made loft areas in the two kids bedrooms. They are really cute and I know the kids will have fun up there, so I added some birds over there as well.
I can't wait for the carpet to be installed so I can decorate the room and show you.
On to the powder room. I wall papered this room. The plumber was there yesterday when I was finishing up the pantry and he was installing the toilet and sink, so I was able to snap these pics.
And here is a preview of an alcove in the formal dining room. I will be stenciling the inset wall next week. You can see the stencil that I will be using on the floor. I also have a vinyl road and cars to put on her little boys bedroom walls. Even though this is a lot of work, it is so much fun for me.
This is the prettiest home I have seen in a long time. There is so much character put into this home and the view out the back is killer! It is huge and you will so enjoy touring it. They bought 80 acres and built a lake behind the house. Eventually in the back...way back, he will start a small housing addition of large homes. For now, The Advocacy Network for Children are having decorators come in and decorate the house for a July tour. Then afterwards the builder and his family will get to move in. She plans on buying some of the decor and furniture from this tour. I will be decorating the kids bedrooms. The plan is for me to take pictures and share with you and trust me, you won't want to miss this French style home with a contemporary twist! Stay tuned.

Her bed will be placed under this tree. |
The room is painted a soft bright green, but the camera and sun washed the color out in this picture! |
