Week 18 ~ Diamonds In The Rough!

Diamonds In The Rough! is my weekly feature, where I show you the treasures that I find from garage sales, thrift stores and antique stores.

We hit the Mother-load this weekend.  And it's a good thing since I have a bigger booth space to fill at the antique mall.

Are you ready? Here goes...
One new shade and the rest old. I have a surprise to show you what I do with these around Christmas time. Bet you can't wait!

This little solid wood night stand will be painted with stripes!

An old Journal that hubby likes to collect.

My son's name is Charlie Kelly. This 1935 book titled Kelly has the first word on the first chapter as...Charlie! It was meant to be his.

Originally I bought these to use in crafts, however upon closer inspection, I will try to sell some of the neater ones in my booth.

This little cute duck was meant to be mine. I wanted a vintage one to hold a decorative egg at Easter. Now I have one. He has had a bath and is looking fine now.

Just a red rooster to add to my kitchen.

Two old cookie cutters, one tulip and one chick.

Vintage rose print.  Look at the oval frame below...it will be put in that and sold in my booth.

Large wooden tray. I will repaint and put the words, EAT on it. Makes much more sense.

This mirror is larger than it looks. It has a velvet backing with its own easel. On the back it is stamped, Oct. 1959.

Vintage glass Dr. office jars. Now located in bathroom with cotton balls and swabs inside.

Two cool metal chairs. I will fix up one for my booth and keep one.

This table has so much going for it and so much wrong with it, but when I get done with it you won't ever know it looked like this.

This is an antique cabinet. It came with the shelves in wood and she had some cut in glass that she gave me too. I will repaint and keep my collection of antique white ironstone pitchers in it.

A sweet vintage rose candy tin for my booth.

A long old tapestry. I will maybe make pillows out of it.

This is a display case that came with four detached legs. Hubby will use it for some of his collections. It needs a lot of love first.
Overall, today was a very successful day!
