Do you remember this?
After building the new Hobby Garage, we were able to free up the old tool room and convert it to our new mud room.I have been on the lookout for more decor fitting this space. Decor Steals was one with their three vintage looking key locks and a local artist was another with a picture of a bicycle vignette from New Orleans...
I luckily found another larger numbered and signed photograph of France fitting for the space. It was only $6 at a garage sale in a hideous red frame. Totally wrong for the picture. I changed that with one from my stash painted with French Linen Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. Now it's perfect!
Oh yeah, and lavender cut from my garden on the floor waiting to be bundled and dried.
On to the next piece. I purchased this lovely corner etagere at another garage sale...
Initially, I was going to sell it after painting it. But I stored it in the mud room and it became perfect for its spot. So I painted it with more French Linen ASCP and highly distressed it.
It's suited for this space.
So why not have lovely things in a well used mud room?

I'm in awe here, because I just got the EXACT SAME BENCH and am in the process of painting it white and recovering the seat. I'm going to put it on our front porch. Funny. Coming over from TT&J. The room is looking great.
