Several years ago, we planted some honeysuckle next to our back fence row. We purchased it from Lowes and it's called Hall's Honeysuckle and it's known for it's wonderful old-fashioned smell.
Hubby has made it his stress-releaving hobby to guide the vines in each direction.
And even built a way for the honeysuckle to arch over a gate and cute log cabin.
It smells so good when the honeysuckle is in bloom and now forms a living privacy fence!
On a side note...Remember when I got this...

That arch looks so beautiful with the vines growing over top! That bird house looks great up in the sky! I see you have a butterfly house near the ground as well. We never seem to have any luck with ours, do you?
ReplyDeleteWow, your living fence really is cool, Terry! I bet it smells like heaven, too.
ReplyDeleteJust lovely! And you have so many cute birdhouses, too!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. I prefer living fences. So much prettier than wood.
ReplyDeleteYour honeysuckle is so pretty on that fence-line. Wonderful, wonderful bird houses! I can't believe you found all of that, at garage sales.
ReplyDeleteThat honeysuckle is beautiful...I love that it goes over the arch!
ReplyDeleteLove honeysuckle! Ours is growing on our fence! greta job on the birdhouses+stands
ReplyDeleteI particularly fell in love with the bird houses. I'll immediately be a copy cat, if you don't mind:))
ReplyDeleteI love Honeysuckle! The birdhouses are lovely!
ReplyDeleteTerry your honeysuckle looks beautiful and I love the birdhouses!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful living fence. We have a wisteria on ours - and it screens the neighbours off beaufitully (except when the leaves drop in winter - it's a little sparse then). Honeysuckles are beautiful, smell fabulous, and the nectar tastes pretty fine as well. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the smell of honeysuckle. Ours bloomed very early this year and then gone. It just does not last long enough. Love how yours is creating a wonderful fence.
