Several years ago, we planted some honeysuckle next to our back fence row. We purchased it from Lowes and it's called Hall's Honeysuckle and it's known for it's wonderful old-fashioned smell.
Hubby has made it his stress-releaving hobby to guide the vines in each direction.
And even built a way for the honeysuckle to arch over a gate and cute log cabin.
It smells so good when the honeysuckle is in bloom and now forms a living privacy fence!

That arch looks so beautiful with the vines growing over top! That bird house looks great up in the sky! I see you have a butterfly house near the ground as well. We never seem to have any luck with ours, do you?

ReplyDeleteBeautiful living fence. We have a wisteria on ours - and it screens the neighbours off beaufitully (except when the leaves drop in winter - it's a little sparse then). Honeysuckles are beautiful, smell fabulous, and the nectar tastes pretty fine as well. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the smell of honeysuckle. Ours bloomed very early this year and then gone. It just does not last long enough. Love how yours is creating a wonderful fence.
