I absolutely HATE computer problems. My laptop is good (so they tell me) but it is five years old and it has been in the 'shop' for a tune-up but it is just so slow...so I am researching laptops to buy a new one...frustrating!

But on to talking about this post! I have been decorating a Chiropractor's office for well over 10 years. It's an easy job and I go in about every 6 weeks and change the decor.

Winter Decor Favorites ~ Part I

Year after year, I do away with some seasonal decor, mainly because I keep making new stuff, but some are just my style and I still get a feeling of joy when I open the plastic storage totes and reveal what I have almost forgotten, as it was stored for almost 10 months. Notice the rock that was found above. It looks to be in the shape of Illinois which is where I live so it became a keepsake.

Winter Putz Display

While most people display their Putz Houses during the Christmas season,

I reserve mine for a favorite winter display...

Why?

Because, I have way too much Christmas decor to display and not enough surface space to show and share it all at the same time!

Winter Door Decor!

One of my favorite things to do as my decor constantly changes, is to get out some of my decor that just seems to touch my heart.

Foyer Winter Mantel ~ 2013

We have four fireplace mantels in our home. One, (living room) was a wood burning that was converted into gas. One, (basement) is electric and two, (upstairs hall and foyer) are fake! Hubby and I built these last two and I have so much fun decorating them.

The low last night was 4 degrees! Wow, is that ever cold!

I am so NOT a cold weather person!

However, I do like the change from the greens and reds of Christmas
 to the whites of winter!

Snowy Snowball Urn

Yesterday we had our first snowfall of the season, and it put me in the mood for some kind of showy snowy decor.





Like a lot of people I know, my inspiration came from Pinterest! What did we ever do before Pinterest? I know that it certainly wasn't as easy to find inspiration as it is today. 



Anyway, my inspiration came from this...
