I found this past post of mine that I did last winter on the Book Wreath and Snowflakes that I made. I thought that you may like to see this again. However, now that I look at this minimalistic wreath that I completed last year and compare it to the music page wreath that I just made this year, it's a stark contrast. Shows how I have grown because of inspiration from other wonderful blogs out there.
This years wreath...
Here is the post from last winter (2011)...
I made a wreath out of a Styrofoam ring and Mod Podge, using an old book. I then added roses and leaves using the same book and some old sheet music. It turned out like this (below).
I felt that overall it was cool but looked plain. (I am almost too embarrassed to show you this wreath now. I need to fill it with more roses. Doesn't it look just too plain?) So I happened upon a snowflake tutorial online from Quill Cottage, so I printed it out and decided to make some. Mine turned out like this (below).
I enjoyed making these four snowflakes and added one to the center of the wreath (below).
This year these snowflakes are on my collection of ironstone pitchers in my white cabinet.
UPDATE: Please look at this newer post to see how I made the plain snowflake wreath to much better. Just click HERE.
