I knew it in my gut. I knew it was wrong. Not finished. Not attractive enough.
Us decorators know. We just do, and this was wrong and I am here to admit it and fix it.
What am I talking about?
This...
This so called bookpage-decoupaged-songbook rose-snowflake-wreath that I created last winter. I just called it good and moved onto another project until it surfaced again in this post HERE.
I just couldn't get it off my
Yep, I've been making muslin roses today and hot glued away.
I even added a large vintage rhinestone medallion.
And instead of hanging the snowflake, I glued it to the top.
Now, I am satisfied. Its got creativity. Its got chic-ness. Its got sweetness. Its got bling. Its even has a bit romance. I'll be moving on to another project. Phew!

Well I loved it before AND after *winks* I think it looked great initially with the snowflake in the center, but I do agree with a lot of rose bling going on in it's latest incarnation the snowflake looks best at the top. I do know that "eating at you feeling" though...I get it on almost every project...I'm sooo not crafty!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my place and commenting on my yrd long painting...I'd LOVE to see your rose paintings, so I'm off to see if I can find them here....Vanna
Yes, you are right, it does look better. It just needed that extra that you added. Now it is done. Good job.

Terry,
ReplyDeleteThat is adorable! I will have to feature it next HSH. I made burlap roses like that and I have the same feeling about that wreath. I am thinking I will be reworking it. It just didn't look like I was picturing. I love your roses and the snowflake-it is all so very cute!
Great job! Thank you for joining me at Home Sweet Home!

This wreath is sooooo elegant looking...I wish I had more doors to display so many pretty winter wreaths that I've seen! I'm hosting a Winter Wonderland link party on Monday and would love it if you linked this up!
