Changes & Opportunity for U!

This guest bedroom has been one of my all time popular posts, but with all things in my life, change is happening because of this...
I fell in love with this Hobby Lobby fabric and since I have been sewing for over 45 years, when I get a whim to do something different, nothing usually stops me.

This fabric plays well off my key green pieces in this room...the chair and the Matelasse bed cover. Plus I love the fact that it reminds me of the old time Barkcloth fabric and it looks tea stained. A bonus of it looking great with the existing wall color was the deciding factor.

I will be making Grommet drapes, dust ruffle and accent pillows. Maybe even another throw to coordinate.

So what is your opportunity? You can purchase my existing (smoke free, pet free) rarely used items at a fraction of the cost. We have a cat but use a baby gate at the top of the stairs to the bedroom so the cat cannot get up there. Also, this is one of those rooms that even when our adult kids are home for a visit, they don't stay in this room, we have two larger ones so I can probably count on one hand the times this room has been slept in in 11 years! These curtains above are lined with a green and white stripe and between that is a white lining. It will slip easily onto your 1 3/8 inch rod rod. The lace curtains behind do not convey.
I am very detail oriented and you will find all the pieces not only in perfect condition, but so beautiful and creative. The single sham does not come with pillow insert, but uses a regular size bed pillow. I show this on a full size bed but the dust ruffle only fits a twin properly.

The dust ruffle even has open corners that are closed with ribbon. If you have a twin bed that has a footboard, then all you do is cut the ribbon open and it will lay nicely on each side of the rail that connects the footboard. I told you attention to detail!
This throw is 41 inches wide by 72 inches long...including fringe.

These two unusual accent pillows are perfect in every detail.
I am offering all of the above for one price of $200, paid via Paypal. (Free shipping and sold to the continental US only) This would be so sweet as a little girls room. I have used a Matelasse coverlet in green, but blue or yellow would also look good. You can purchase these at most stores and online.

This next item coordinates, but is sold separately...
Now, here is a matching vanity stool that has never been used. It is a vintage piece that I made to coordinate. This is the tricky part because this is for sale separately, simply for the fact that it's a piece that shipping may be costly and I didn't want you to have to purchase something at a higher cost, though it coordinates since you will have to pay shipping on this one. It is for sale for $75 plus shipping costs. I would estimate that shipping would cost around $50 or more.

Talk about a custom bed-in-a-bag...This is a ROOM-IN-A-BAG! All you need is a window curtain rod, twin bed, (or not use this dust ruffle if you have a larger bed) and a coverlet! The rest is all here just waiting for a new home.

NOTE: When this sells, I will delete this from my featured posts.

  1. I totally understand about this fabric. Last year I purchased enough to have dining room window treatments made and then went back and bought another 6 yards. Now keep in mind I do not know yet what I will do with it. I'll think of something. I know whatever you make will be as lovely as everything else you do. Can't wait to see!!!

  11. Ok, I can't stand it.
I have NO Curtains at all, because nothing has spoken to me.
Then... I saw your new fabric.
Gotta have it. It gave me an Ah HA! moment, which is how I know I've found "the one."

Would you be kind enough to offer a PLU, product number, even the brand (which you probably know is usually stamped on the salvage) or something? I'm looking online and haven't found it yet. We have a Hobby Lobby about 2 hours away and I'm ready to hop in the car.

I cannot WAIT to see your room decked out anew! :)
Thank you so much in advance.
