What I didn't share with you when I revealed my newly painted master bedroom (see that HERE), was the area at the foot of the bed that has just enough room for a 3' x 5' rug.
Yes, I could go a bit bigger but the hand scraped elm hardwood floors are so beautiful that I wanted to see more of them. I just wanted something to accent the floor.
So, have you heard of WUSLU? (http://www.wuslu.com/) It's a website where you can subscribe to receive emails on their "1 decor daily deal"! That's right, they will send you an email each day with awesome items, but you have to act fast since they sell out easily. Great prices and only $5 shipping no matter what you buy! Go check it out!
Anyway, they sent me an email for a rug that I felt would look great in this room. It is made with a printed design on bamboo.
It even has a great brown material edge and a felt with rubber dot backing so it stays in place. No sliding around on this rug baby!
What a great look to complete my whole room redo, don't you think?

I saw those! I wish I had someplace to put it like you did! It looks fabulous in your gorgeous "new" bedroom.
ReplyDeleteI love your bedroom and that rug is the perfect finishing touch. Thanks for your visit to my blog.
ReplyDeleteDanielle
Rug looks great!
ReplyDeleteTerry, the rug is fabulous and the rest of the room is incredible too! I love the color you chose for your walls and the way the whites pop! You are amazing.
ReplyDeleteThis is just perfect - our bedrooms are almost the same color and I am considering taking my gold/champagne bedding, etc out for the summer and replacing it with white - you might have inspired me! It all looks so pretty!
ReplyDeleteOh Terry! This bedroom is amazing! I do love that carpet so very much, but your entire room just sings! Colours, headboard... crazy about it!

Love your Blog..and your design sense is to die for..but the music has to go..How do I delete it from the page? I like to leave blogs open so i can look at them at length but my husband hates the music(he has his own things to listen to)and closes my page every time if it has sound. So many decorating blogs are audio oriented but seriously..not appreciated by most. The music I get but not on a blog where it takes more than just a few minutes to enjoy..sorry to be so candid.
ReplyDeletePLEASE!!!!! Tell the color and brand of paint onthe walls!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnon, that's an advertisement you can turn off if you scroll up near the top.
ReplyDeleteTerry, I have a facebook inquiry... someone would love to know where you got the carpet from. Me too! :)

Please! Paint color and Brand! Please and thank you.
ReplyDeleteReally pretty....must be pleasant to wake up in!
ReplyDeleteLove the rug! In fact, I have 3 of them. One is just like yours and the other 2 are 6'x10 each in a different pattern. They're so durable and pet friendly. I just ordered another one for the family room. I have no carpet in my house ... All floors are painted wood and these bamboo mats work great. Yours looks great in your bedroom, which is beautiful, by the way.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful rug! The bedroom looks gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThe rug looks great and I can see why you don't want to hide too much of your fabulous floors. Over all your room looks so warm and inviting. I love the wall color. Thanks for sharing about where you purchased your rug, I plan to check that out right away.
ReplyDeleteHi Terry...
ReplyDeleteI was just doing a little "sight seeing" while I was over here at your place and wanted to leave you a note about your newly remodeled bedroom! It's GORGEOUS!!! I love everything that you've done! Love the wall color and all of the architectural elements! Love your headboard! Ohhh...and your bed linens are sooo pretty! Sooo many beautiful elements!!! I think your new rug is lovely...it really does look perfect with your room's decor! Don't you just love when everything comes together? Thanks so much for sharing your newly redone bedroom with us...I really enjoyed the tour, my friend!
Warmest spring wishes,
Chari
