            PEDESTALS!



I was given them from a friend. She wanted me to fix them up and sell them and split the money with her. Well, that is not what happened! Here is what they looked like when I received them...

 I cleaned them, glued areas where they were breaking apart, and noted all the cool detail...

 I realized that I wanted to keep one. They are wonderful to display special or seasonal decor. Also, great to use during bible studies where small tables are needed to place a coffee cup or plate.

I decided to use Annie Sloan's French Linen chalk paint since its color is very versatile in my home.

They came out looking so lovely, that I called my friend and asked that she stop by and check them out...she may want one back!

On a side note, the leaning birdcage was given to me by my young-and-cute-handy-dandy-handyman. He said that he tore off a roof on an old home and this was inside the rafters with no way to access this without coming in from the roof down! Meaning no attic access! It's very old and very fragile. I sprayed it with clear sealer to seal the rust from coming off on my furniture. The wire is brittle but it has so much awesomeness going on! Thanks Trent!

Well, you guessed it...she did love them and took the shorter one home. It was also confirmed that they came out of an old church that her father preached for.

On another note, our new kitten thought that this photo shoot was time to play hide and seek. I will share in another post on how she came into our home and hearts.
