I found this antique table on a recent garage sale expedition. I knew that I was going to paint it and probably not keep it because I don't have room for it but,
I so love to paint furniture pieces and give them a whole new personality.
To remind you, here is the before picture that I had shared
with you on one of my Diamonds In The Rough! posts.
The table was in great condition and really didn't need painting or even much TLC. It even has wonderful brass wheel caps on each leg.
The lady I purchased it from told me that it had a glass on the top that got broken.
Well, that got me to thinking about my final product with this table. I knew I wanted some kind of MacKenzie Childs look about this piece but didn't have a plan. I find that if I just let my creative mind work while I am painting, I will love the piece when I am finished. So here is the finished table without the added mirror top...
I just picked the table up from the shop that cut a mirror for it. I thought that a mirror would add to the pizazz of the piece. I took it directly to my antique mall booth so the surroundings are not too sweet.
I just got a new booth space at the local antique mall and I will be showing you that in a later post when it is all set up and dressed for business.
Here is the table complete with mirrored top!
