Nature's Bounty II

Black Eyed Susan's

Just to cool you off a bit...my homemade bubbler fountain.

 My front rock wall was these daylilies in alternate colors of yellow and red.

Poinsettia
 I received a tiny 6 inch potted Poinsettia during last Christmas season. I set it in my kitchen window and it flourished.  I didn't have the heart to toss it out after the season, so I decided that I would make it an experiment. I logged on to Ask.com and looked up how to raise a Poinsettia so it would bloom this coming Christmas season.  I potted it in a larger pot and have had it outside all summer under a tree. It has grown quite large. By mid September, I will bring it inside to our basement for 13 hours per day of darkness for 6 weeks. When I begin to see red on the leaves, I can then bring it upstairs and enjoy it again for the Holiday's.  We will see if this works! So far, so good!

    Thanks for stopping by Knick of Time. How exciting to meet another tri-state gal! We aren't in Quincy, but live between Palmyra & Philadelphia, out in the country. We spend nearly as much time in Quincy as we do home though. Love your flower garden!! I'm not growing anything but grass and weeds!

    Your green thumb is showing!! The rock wall with all the flowers is beautiful. Your indoor plants must appreciate the move outside because they look healthy and lush. I'm not that good at keeping plants alive much less keeping them flourishing. I don't give up though because gardening is so rewarding when things turn out the way their supposed to.

    they are so beautiful! The flowers here are starting to wane with the heat being so bad. And just yesterday I found these huge green caterpillars trying their best to make a meal of my plants...ooohhweeee.
