Wedding and Courtly Check Tea Service!

I took some time off from my blog to work on wedding things for my son's wedding. I was asked to make a couple of chalkboards and here is one, Friends of...

I was also asked to make all the burlap table runners...

And a banner for the Couples table...

And decorate the arbor they were married in front of...
And ALL the vests for the guys! Gladly they all fit when I arrived in Kansas from Illinois!
I bought these pillows on Decor Steals for them...
And loved every minute at this memorable event, complete with my daughter and hubby...
And my loving hubby Tim...
And I am 55 years old after patiently waiting for my son to marry...finally at 32 years old!!!
Now my son has a ready made family to make a home with...
And we couldn't be more happy than to welcome these two fun boys and a dear daughter-in-law to call our own!

While I was away from blogging, I didn't stop working on projects of all kinds.

Here is a lovely silver tea service that would not polish up well, so I decided to paint the body of them in MacKenzie Childs Courtly Check!
Love how they turned out!

    1. All I did was paint the body of each with white acrylic paint. I then used a pencil and drew the squares. I painted every other square black acrylic. I then dry brushed with yellow, then blue, then black and then white to get the look of MacKenzie Childs. After all was dry, I sprayed them with polycrylic sealer.

    2. That tea set is amazing, Terri! I recognized the McK-C paint design as soon as I saw it on Marty's Inspire Me feature today. Love it! You & I have age & homemade weddings in common! Please come visit my blog and see my daughter's "An Affair to Remember - a Homemade Wedding" to see our commonalities. First time visiting your blog and I like what I see so far!! Have a great week!
