I have thought for some time how much I like the look of Square Wreaths. They are different and this is one of those projects that I dragged my feet on.
1) I didn't need yet another wreath to store away when it wasn't season for it to be on display.
2) I must force myself to learn to admire from afar, or risk being called a hoarder.
3) And, how many Fall wreaths can I really find places to display in my home?
Those bullet points and more rumbled in my mind trying to make me forget about making one.
I kept seeing it ... beautiful... in my head...all finished and so different and pretty cool if I don't say so myself.
Then it happened...
This green Styrofoam square was on clearance at JoAnn's! How could I just walk by? I feel like it just jumped into my cart!
After several false starts with first using all check fabric...and plainness of just the rose, that wasn't working for me.
Enter the current popular and good 'ol standby...burlap, feathers and a rag rose.
All put together with a nest of dried somethings makes for a pretty-stunning-morning-sun-pouring-in-kind-of-picture!
NOTE Concerning Rug: I have had questions on where I got the rug. Please go here,
to see more on that.

ReplyDeleteYour entryway rug caught my eye and I also would love to know where to look for it....
I love that you tried something new and that you kept trying until it was just right. I also have the fear of hoarding.
ReplyDeleteI love this wreath and the fact that it is square. So pretty in your entryway. I love making wreaths and have the same problem of where to put a new one at. Thank you so much for sharing at Share It One More Time. Cathy
