ReArranged Guest Bedroom

Recently, I shopped my own house for furniture for my newly painted master bedroom. You can see more on that HERE. But you all know what that does. It causes a void in the room you stole the furniture piece from. Therefore, I had to rearrange my blue guest bedroom a bit. By the way, I call this guest bedroom blue, because the ceiling and the bedding and some accent pieces are blue.

Basically, I stole the bookcase that houses my Great Grandmother's china from this room and also had the faux fireplace to replace it with that I didn't bring back into the master. By switching some locations of furniture and pictures, Hubby and I think that overall, by being able to view the fireplace straight on from the doorway, is much better than viewing it from the side when we used to walk into our master bedroom.

Enjoy the pictures...

Here are some Before and Afters of things that are in this room.

  3. I love it! I shop my own house over and over..I have the good fortune to store things in my basement and attic. I also make all my rooms..color friendly,,for this very reason. Wondering,,what does your husband think? Mine always looks around when he comes home..wondering if we are even living in the same bedroom or not! Ha..Funny thing..I put a brass and nickle tea set on my ottoman one day, after taking it out of my secretary,,he came home and asked me if I had went shopping!, I replied,,yes six years ago!..I took it out of the secretary where it has been for six years..Men!

  4. I'm about to steal furniture from my guest room to use in my master bedroom. If you redecorate as much as we do, you have to steal from room to room to save money! Your home looks lovely, btw.
